The Department of Management participated in the International Coastal Clean-up activity organised in association with Ministry of Earth Science, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Department of Tourism on 17th September 2022. 21 students from FY BBA (FS) assembled at Benaulim beach at 7.00am. They were welcomed by the event coordinator Mr. Ravindra Shirodkar and the Sarpanch of Benaulim along with his Panch members. The students collected gloves and trash bags from the organisers and were divided into 2 groups. First group went towards Vadi beach and other group proceeded towards Blue Cross hotel on the other side.
Students collected all the garbage found on the beach and gathered the garbage bags in one place. The Navelim constituency MLA Mr. Ulhas Tuekar also joined the cleanliness drive. Later, the students assembled for a photograph and the activity came to an end at around 9.00am. The activity was a success and gave students a better understanding of the issue of marine litter and its impacts.
