The Department of Physical Education and Sports organized Inter-class Chess Tournament for students of all programmes on 5th and 6th August 2022 in multipurpose Hall from 12:30 pm. A Total of 24 students participated in the tournament.
In the beginning of the tournament, Mr. Saurabh Raikar, Instructor in Physical Education gave proper instructions to be followed by the participants. He had also clearly informed the rules and regulations about the tournament.
The tournament was played on knock-out basis and fixtures was designed by putting up lots. All the Preliminary round matches were played for 10 minutes by each player. Whereas, semi-final & final round was played for 15 Minutes by each player.
The winners of the Inter-class Chess tournament were:
- 1st Place – Mr. Prajay Shirodkar
- 2nd Place- Mr. Omkar Verlekar
- 3rd Place- Mr. Kris Rego
Winners were rewarded with a trophy and Certificate of Appreciation. Programme ended with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Ajinkya Kudtarkar, College Director of Physical Education & Sports.
