The Department of Physical Education and Sports organized Basketball Intramural Tournament for Men & Women on 22nd December 2023 at the VVM’s Basketball court. 5 teams participated in the tournament (03 men & 02 women).
The tournament commenced with a brief introduction by Mr. Dewaraj Hirekurbar, College Director of Physical Education & Sports. The competition followed a knockout format, with fixtures determined by a draw. Each match consisted of four quarters, each lasting 7 minutes, totalling 28 minutes for both men’s and women’s teams.

The Officials for the tournament were National Basketball Players, Mr. Stevan Mascarenhas and Mr. Arnold Fernandes. Ms. Nichola Mascarenhas, Member of the Sports Council was the compere for the event.
The Programme ended with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Siddhivinayak Hadapad, General Secretary of Sports Council of the College.
