The Department of Computer Science organised an Industry Interaction Session for students of the B.Voc. programme on 13th October 2020 from 10.00 to 10.45 am and 11.45 am to 12.30 pm via Google Meet. The Resource Person for the session was Mr. Mohsin Shaikh, Haztech, Margao – Goa
The main objectives of the session were to get an update of the work done by students during the lockdown and provide further guidance as per industry requirements and also to understand the expectation of students from B.Voc Programme
Session 1: 10.00 am to 10.45 am
The webinar started with the introduction of the Resource Person by Mr. Sumit Kumar. He briefly informed the students about the objective and purpose of the session.
The Resource Person, Mr. Mohsin Shaikh welcomed the students and took update on the work done by them during the lockdown period. All doubts and concerns raised by the students were clarified. He also explained the various concepts included in Second Year B.Voc syllabus and elaborated on how the knowledge & skills gained will improve their overall skill set and career opportunities. He also stressed upon projects, live projects, assignments, internships, communication skills, self-learning and creative thinking.
Session II: 11.45 am to 12.30 pm
During the second session, Mr. Mohsin Shaikh explained the uniqueness and distinctiveness of the B.Voc. program. He also listed various technical and soft skills required in the IT Profession. The students shared their purpose of joining this Programme and & their expectations.
27 students (FY & SY B.Voc.) attended the sessions.
