

Mr. Allan began the session by giving an overview of the media industry in Goa. He highlighted that in the post-Portuguese era, the five newspapers circulating in Goa were owned by mining companies. He then went on to explain how people have shifted from traditional media channels such as newspapers, television, and radio, to digital platforms such as Google, Internet Explorer, and social media websites like Facebook. Mr. Allan also emphasized the importance of effective communication in the media industry and discussed the various opportunities available for aspiring journalists. He encouraged the students to brainstorm strategies for improving sales and increasing readership for Navhind Times.
The session ended with Mr. Allan answering the doubts and queries of the participants, and Ms. Roshni Khatun of M.Com-I giving the Vote of Thanks. The session was attended by 49 students of M.Com-I & II and concluded at 12:30 p.m.
