The Institution Innovation Council of the College arranged for live streaming of Episode 05 of India First Leadership Talk Series, organized by MHRD Innovation Cell aired on DD and available through YouTube. The streaming was done on August 22, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon in the Ramadas Mallya Smart Classroom
The Resource Person was Dr. Ramesh Pokhrial, Hon’ble Union Minister of Human Resource Development, and a renowned author and poet.
The Union minister of HRD, during the address, answered queries forwarded by various students across the nation. He stressed on how students should manage their time to handle multiple tasks, the qualities that are important for a leader, how to manage a team and get effective results. He shared his own life experiences and how he balances his political career and makes time for writing on issues of his interest. He stressed that there is no substitute for hard work and that students should not compromise on hard work to achieve success and get results in whatever they choose to do. He expressed his views on the National Education Policy for which views/opinions have been taken from 150,000 stakeholders across the country. The policy aims at extending the slogan “Jai Jawaan Jai Kisaan” to “Jai Vigyan, Jai Anusandhan” thus focusing on education, technology, science and research. He also expressed that we have immense talent in our country and the proposed New Education Policy is aimed at creating entrepreneurs rather than managers. The Minister also requested students to support National missions such as Swachh Bharat, Water conservation etc. He finally shared his views on handling failure in life.
