Hands-on workshop on “Artificial Intelligence”

The TechTrendz Club of the Department of Computer Science organized a hands-on workshop titled “Artificial Intelligence” using Free Open-Source Software (FOSS), on 17th January, 2024 in Classroom F101 from 10.30 am to 12:30 pm. The Resource Person was Mr. Sandesh Gaundalker, Visual Designer and Illustrator. 26 students of FY B.Voc.(ST) participated in the workshop.

The “Artificial Intelligence” workshop successfully brought together individuals passionate about exploring the intersection of generative art and artificial intelligence. Over the workshop of two hours, participants engaged in a rich and immersive experience that combined theoretical understanding with hands-on exercises using free-to-use online AI image creators like Playground AI and Leonardo AI to create art, social media posts, presentations, posters, videos, logos and more.

Participants gained a foundational understanding of generative art, and the pivotal role of AI in the creative process. Practical sessions allowed participants to set up their environments, explore generative algorithms, and create their first AI-generated images. Participants delved into generative techniques and dedicated time to develop more complex generative art. The Resource Person provided expert guidance during sessions, ensuring participants received personalized support and encouragement.

The workshop concluded with participants showcasing their unique generative art, fostering a collaborative environment for feedback and reflection.
