The BBA(FS) Department organized an online guest lecture for the Second Year BBA(FS) students on 16th October 2020 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the Google Meet platform. The lecture was on “Working Capital Management” and was arranged as part of the Financial Management course. The Resource Person for the session was CA Pankaj Pai Kakode, Director, Kakode Consultants Pvt. Ltd.
Ms. Devyani Chandrashekar Sirakaje, a student of the class, introduced the Resource Person. During the session, the resource person stressed upon some basic concepts and ideas viz. Working capital, the need for working capital, factors determining working capital, trade-off between current assets and current liabilities, working capital components, working capital cycle, working capital funding, and working capital ratios.
CA Pankaj Pai Kakode appreciated the active participation of the students as they asked a number of relevant questions.
A total of 36 students from Second Year BBA(Financial Services) A & B class attended the session. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Lizia V. Gomes, Assistant Professor in Commerce. Cinola T. Vaz, Assistant Professor in Commerce and Ms. Lizia V. Gomes, Assistant Professor in Commerce were the teachers in charge of the session.
