The BBA(FS) Department organized an Online Guest Lecture on 20th November, 2020 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the topic ‘Start-up Incubation: Strategic Perspectives’. The lecture was part of the Strategic Management Course for SY BBA(FS) students. The resource person for the session was Mr. Cayson D’Souza.
The session was hosted by Asst. Prof. Grishmi Thakur. Asst. Prof. Trisha Vadil introduced the Resource Person, Mr. Cayson D’Souza. Mr. Cayson is the Founder of CasFer Technologies Pvt. Ltd. He is an alumnus of Goa Institute of Management.
The Resource Person addressed the students on the various start-up strategies along with the overview and significance of a well-structured start-up process. The resource person put forward his practical experiences regarding transforming the start-up blueprints into realities, especially in the context of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic crisis. Mr. Cayson explained the ways to tap the right opportunities and tackle the inevitable challenges that emerge during the progression of stages ranging from business progression to business acceleration.
Mr. Cayson made the guest lecture very interesting and interactive by encouraging the participants to think about probable situations that would arise during the process of business incubation. He also acknowledged that initiatives aimed at bridging the glaring gap between industry and academia are the need of the hour, and the guest lecture is an appreciable attempt towards the same.
Ms. Grishmi Thakur coordinated the Q&A session and proposed the vote of thanks. 21 participants attended the session via Google Meet.
