The Department of Management Studies organised a guest session ‘Idea to Startup’ for the students of SY BBA(FS) on 26th February 2024 from 12.30 p.m. to 1.30 p.m. The lecture was delivered by an Entrepreneur and CEO of ‘The Handy Goan’, Mr. Rinaldo Fernandes. 37 students attended the session.
The Resource Person was introduced by Ms. Aachal Naik of SY BBA(FS)-A. Mr. Fernandes commenced the session by sharing his academic and professional journey, following which, he highlighted the merits and demerits of a job and starting up one’s own business. He touched upon the challenges he faced while setting up his automation startup and subsequently running the business. He spoke about the means he used to tackle those challenges. He concluded his session by leaving the students with valuable insights and tips on entrepreneurship. Towards the end, he addressed the students’ doubts with regards to starting up a business of their own.
Overall, the session proved to be an enriching experience for the students that provided them with knowledge and valuable insights into entrepreneurship. At the end, Ms. Mahek Shaikh of SY BBA(FS)-A proposed the Vote of Thanks. The session was coordinated by Ms. Alba De Sa and Ms. Namrata Ugvekar.
