A Guest Lecture
on Careers in Insurance was organized for the students of F.Y.B.Com ‘A’ on 2nd January 2018. The resource persons for the session were Mr. Nagaraj Naik– Financial Advisor, and Mr. Ravindra Tomar Branch Manager of SBI Life Insurance.
Mr. Deep Prabhudeasai introduced the speakers. Mr. Nagaraj Naik explained the basics of insurance, and impressed upon students the importance of buying an insurance policy.
Mr. Ravindra Tomar explained the importance of financial planning and how buying an insurance policy will provide financial security to the policyholder. He also explained the career opportunities in insurance sector. He mentioned that being a life insurance agent is a part time job and therefore even students can become agents and get the benefit of earning while learning.
The session ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Deep Prabhudesai.
