Guest Lecture on “Banking Legislation Supervision and Control”

A Guest Lecture was held on 25th September 2018 for SY BBA(FS) students on the topic “Banking Legislation, Supervision and Control”. The resource person was Ms. Samantha Noronha, Asst. Prof. G. R. Kare College of Law.
The main emphasis of the lecture was on the Role of RBI, its functions and powers, the background to the SARFAESI Act, the need for the Act and the functions of the Act. Additional topics covered included objectives and functions of FEMA and FERA. Lastly Ms. Noronha elaborated upon the role and importance of Debt Recovery Tribunals.

33 students from both divisions of SY BBA(FS) attended the guest lecture.
