The PG Department organised an Online Guest lecture in the subject of Cost and Management Accounting for M.Com students on 4th December 2020 from 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm. on Google Meet platform. The Resource Person for the session was Ms. Sharvani Pinge, Chartered Accountant and Certified Financial Planner, Co-founder of Pravansh Investor Services Pvt Ltd, Goa. Ms. Kezia Da Costa, student of M.Com Part I, introduced the Resource Person.
- Pinge commenced the session by discussing basic concepts of cost accounting, cost classification, variance analysis, and components of a cost sheet and also highlighted the importance of cost accounting information to the organization. She further explained the concept of standard costing and computation of cost of goods sold in a manufacturing company.
The speaker addressed all the queries raised by the students at the end of the session. Ms.Siddhi Guinde, student of M.Com Part-I, proposed the Vote of Thanks. 42 students attended the lecture. Ms.Pooja Shanbhag, Asst. Professor in Commerce, PG Department, was in charge of the activity.
