The Vibrant Goa Foundation organized the prestigious event “The Global Tech Summit 2024” on 22nd and 23rd March 2024. The primary objective was to convene leaders, innovators, and experts from the technology industry worldwide to deliberate and showcase the latest advancements, trends, and challenges shaping the future of technology. The event comprised various talks, workshops, project expos related to IT field trends and technology, and panel discussions.
Day 1 commenced with the inaugural ceremony graced by our Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant. The Chairman and President of the Tech Summit delivered insightful talks outlining the planning, purpose, and history of the foundation. They elucidated the collective vision of the Global Tech Summit members. The Chief Technology Officer of Persistent Systems Ltd delivered a talk on AI Trends and Future Prospects, emphasizing Goa’s potential to become a technical hub. Our students actively participated in the expo, exploring the diverse services offered by different companies, colleges, and universities. They also engaged in projects showcased by students from various colleges, experiencing VR cricket and VR Architect designing.
Day 2 commenced with talks on blockchain, cyber security, generative AI, and the future of AI. 11 students from Computer Science Department attended this summit. They continued their exploration of the expo, interacting with peers from RIT who presented an emergency traffic model and students from NFSU university. They also visited the cyber security intruder alert model expo and witnessed demonstrations of a drone system created by IIT. Additionally, they enjoyed watching the ROBO SUMO match, which was highly engaging.
Overall, the event was meticulously organized, and our students thoroughly enjoyed the experience on both days, gaining valuable insights and exposure to cutting-edge technologies and innovations.
