Friendship Day Celebration

The Students’ Council of the College celebrated Friendship Day on August 5, 2019. The theme for the event was ‘Fire and Ice’. The students and teachers came dressed according to the theme i.e. fire colours such as red, yellow and orange or ice colours such as dark blue, light blue or white. Around 150 students were present on the occasion.

The major objectives of the event were to provide a platform for students to exhibit their talents, and also to develop the execution skills of students.

The programme was divided into two parts: off-stage and on-stage events. The Offstage events included Friendship Band Making Competition and Hand Painting Competition. Several students from across all programmes participated in the competition. The off-stage events began at 09.00 am and were followed by the onstage events. The Onstage event involved a band performance by a group of students followed by a group dance performance, stand-up comedy and mime on the topic Take Care of Your Parents. Various games and spot prizes were also organized to involve the audience in the celebration.

The students participated wholeheartedly, making the event a great success.

The programme ended at around 12.30 p.m. with the announcement of the results of the off-stage competitions, as shown below.
