FiiRE (Forum for Innovation Incubation Research and Entrepreneurship) oragnised Category 1, Starting Up, of the Business Diva 2024 Competition on 19th April, 2024.Dr Shami Pai, Associate Professor, Department of Commerce & Management of VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, Margao Goa was invited as a judge for the semi-finals of the competition. The Business Diva is a business idea competition organised annually by Forum for Innovation Incubation Research and Entrepreneurship in association with the Women’s Wing of Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry to support and uplift women entrepreneurs. The Business Diva 2024 is the 5th edition of this competition and is powered by the Geno Foundation and Hotel Menino Regency.
The semi-final category had 10 women entrepreneurs short listed by the organizers. However, only 08 entrepreneurs were present. Each one did a presentation for 8 minutes and then they were asked questions by the judges for 5 minutes. The evaluation criteria were Innovation (10), Scalable (10), Social Impact (10), and Practical (10). From the 8 entrepreneurs, 5 were selected for the Finals. The competition ended at 1.30 pm with the presentation of the plant to the judges.
