The NCC Army Wing and Yuva Tourism Club of the College organized a field trip to Indian Coast Guard Ship Sangram, at MPT Vasco Goa on 07th October, 2022. 35 students were accompanied by Lt. Sandesh Gaonkar and Ainsley Bernard.
Dy. Comdt. Atulendra Singh of Indian Coast Guard Ship Sangram welcomed the students. In his address, he stated that the Mission of Indian Coast Guard is to provide Safety and protection of artificial islands, offshore terminals and other installations. It also aims to provide Protection and assistance to fishermen and mariners at sea, preservation and protection of marine ecology and environment including pollution control. He also spoke about ICG background, Career opportunities, Eligibility and Entry procedure in ICG, Ranking hierarchy.
Students were divided into three groups and each group were accompanied by ship personnel who briefed them about all aspects of ship operation, communication systems, anti-Piracy weapons, etc.
Lt. Sandesh Gaonkar proposed the Vote of Thanks to the entire team of Indian Coast Guard Ship Sangram.
