Vasundhara (Green Club) of the College organized a field trip to Dr Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, Chorao Island and ASI Museum, Old Goa for the students of the College on 9th March 2023. 40 B.Com students were a part of the field trip, which was organized to provide students with practical exposure and an experience amidst Nature.
The students departed from the College campus at 7:30 am for the first destination which was Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, Chorao-Goa. It is an estuarine mangrove habitat located on the western tip of the Island of Chorao along the Mandovi river. After a ferry ride to the island, the students hiked through the bird sanctuary proceeding to the mangrove trail. The students also went on a boat ride through the mangroves where they spotted different birds and animals. After this, the next destination was ASI Museum, Velha Goa. It is situated in the convent adjacent to the church of St Francis of Assisi in Old Goa. Once the museum visit was complete, the field trip ended with the students returning at 2:45 pm to the College campus. The students were accompanied by Assistant Prof. Ms. Stesa Pereira and Assistant Prof. Ms. Aradhana Bandekar who were the teachers in charge.
