The Department of Computer Science of the college, in collaboration with the FDP Cell, successfully organized a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Fostering Research Mindset and Integrating Methodologies for Academic Excellence” on 13th January 2025 from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM in the Smart Classroom.
The session was hosted byAsst. Prof. Shruti Kunkolienkar, who ensured the seamless flow of the session. The welcome address was delivered by Officiating Principal, Prof. Sanjay P. Sawant Dessai, who emphasized the significance of reading as a cornerstone of research. He warmly welcomed the resource person, Dr. Kavita Asnani, Associate Professor at the State Higher Education Council, Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Goa, and encouraged faculty members to make the most of the session by actively participating, asking questions, and gaining clarity on research methodologies and their academic applications.
Dr. Kavita Asnani delivered an insightful and interactive session, focusing on the integration of research methodologies into academic practices and the development of a research-oriented mindset among educators. She shared practical strategies and tools to align research approaches with academic excellence, promoting innovation, impactful teaching methodologies, and scholarly contributions.
The session concluded with Asst. Prof. Sumit Kumar, Coordinator, Department of Computer Science, presenting a memento to Dr. Kavita Asnani as a token of appreciation. The interactive nature of the FDP facilitated meaningful discussions, knowledge exchange, and collaborative learning, enabling a total of 24 participants (04 males, 20 females) to enhance their academic and research pursuits.
