The Staff Recreation Cell organized a farewell function on 30 th March 2024 at 12:00 p.m. in Hall no.2 of the Central Block for Prof. Prita D. Mallya. The event commenced with a warm welcome by the comperes, Ms. Lizette D’costa and Ms. Marjina Shaikh. Shri Nitin A. Kunkolienker, President of VVM, delivered an inspiring address, followed by Shri U.N. Bene, Chairman of the College Governing Council, sharing his memories about the felicitee. Prof. Sanjay Sawant Dessai introduced the esteemed Felicitee, while heartfelt speeches were delivered by Dr. Edwin Barreto and Mrs. Tulsi Nayak, representing the faculty and office staff, respectively.
The audience was treated to nostalgic reminiscences from ex-students CA Pankaj Pai Kakode, Ms. Dnyanada Prabhudesai, and CA Shivdutt Ambe via a video clip, alongside current students Ms. Brionna Noronha and Ms. Roshni Khatun. A slide show evoked fond memories of the felicitees journey on campus. As a token of gratitude and appreciation, a special memento along with a citation was presented to Prof. Prita D. Mallya by Shri Nitin A. Kunkolienker, President of VVM and the Chairman of the College Governing Council, CA Uttam Bene. The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and an inspiring speech by Prof. Prita D. Mallya, followed by a Vote of Thanks from Secretary of VVM, Shri Madhukar Mallya. The function ended with a few photographs clicked with Prof. Prita D. Mallya. Refreshments were served at the end of the function.
