The BBA(Financial Services) Department and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized a Webinar on ‘E-Filing of Income Tax Returns’ as an extension activity in association with Amhi Udyogini Pratishtan, Mahila Mandal, Margao. The webinar was organized through Google Meet on 21st October 2020 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. for the women members of Amhi Udyogini Pratishtan, Mahila Mandal, Margao. 27 participants attended the same.
The webinar commenced with a Welcome address by Mrs. Ranjita Pai, Branch Manager, Amhi Udyogini Pratishtan, Mahila Mandal, Margao followed by a brief address by Mrs. Meenal Mohadikar, Founder and President, Amhi Udyogini Pratishtan, Mumbai.
CA Anup Borkar was the Resource Person for the webinar. CA. Borkar is a renowned Chartered Accountant, practicing in Margao. An alumnus of the College, he is a visiting faculty for the BBA(FS) programme for the courses on Direct and Indirect taxes. The Resource Person began by elucidating the progressive sequence of e-filing of Income Tax returns in India over the years. He highlighted that any individual who desires to file his/her Income Tax returns online must possess some basic, fundamental knowledge of taxation. CA Borkar demonstrated the process of filing Income Tax returns through the Government of India authorized web portal. He also explained the types of forms available for e-filing of Income Tax returns.
