On the 28th and 29th of August 2024, the Department of Computer Science, under the guidance of faculty in-charge Asst. Prof. Sneha Prabhudessai and Asst. Prof. Rakshavi Dessai, organized an Extension Activity to bring about Cyber Crime Awareness. This initiative, in collaboration with the Mahila Mandal, was held at Popular High School and Mahila Nutan High School in Margao. The primary goal was to educate high school students about the importance of cyber safety and raise awareness about the risks associated with cybercrimes. The activity featured a presentation and a street play, both of which served as effective tools to communicate the message. The street play was directed by Asst. Prof. Rama Borkar from the Department of Computer Science. A total of 12 BCA/BVoc(ST) students (6 male, 6 female) participated in this extension activity.

Expected Outcome of the Activity:
The primary objectives of this activity were to:
- Enhance Awareness: Increase students’ understanding of cybercrimes and the significance of online safety.
- Promote Safe Practices: Encourage students to adopt safe online behaviour and practices.
- Engage and Educate: Provide an engaging learning experience through an interactive street play and an informative presentation.
Overall, the activity aimed to empower high school students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.
