

Day 1: N-LIST Consortium – E-Resources, E-Journals, and E-Books:
On the first day, Dr. Maithili Naik, Convenor of the Research & Development Cell, welcomed the attendees and introduced the resource person. The session focused on the N-LIST (National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content) Consortium, which provides access to a wide range of e-resources, e-journals, and e-books. Participants were introduced to the process of accessing academic databases, scholarly articles, and digital book collections available through N-LIST. The session provided hands-on experience in navigating the platform, downloading research materials, and utilizing online academic content for teaching and research.
Day 2: Pearson Digital Library and IndiaStat Database
The second day focused on the Pearson Digital Library, providing an in-depth understanding of its various features. Participants were introduced to annotation, voice recordings, highlighting, adding web links, and bookmarking, allowing them to effectively use digital books for academic and research purposes. The IndiaStat Database was also explored, helping educators access statistical data for research and teaching.
Day 3: E-Newspapers and Research Portals
The third day introduced Magzter, E-Newspapers, NDLI (National Digital Library of India), and the Vidwan Portal. Participants learned to navigate Magzter, a digital magazine platform, and explored the NDLI, which offers a vast repository of academic resources. The session also covered the Vidwan Portal, a database of experts and researchers, aiding educators in networking and collaboration.
At the end of the training, Asst. Prof. Shreyas Desai, Faculty Member of the Research & Development Cell, proposed the vote of thanks.
Expected Outcomes of the Activity
The workshop provided valuable insights into the use of digital library resources for teaching and research. Participants gained practical skills to enhance their engagement with e-resources, making academic material more accessible and interactive. The training also aimed to empower faculty members with digital tools, enabling them to integrate technology effectively into their teaching and research methodologies.
