The Department of Management Studies organized an educational field trip to the heritage sites in Chandor for the students of FY BBA and BBA(FS) on 1st September 2023. The field trip aimed to help students realize the significance of preserving heritage sites. 29 students were a part of this visit. Students were accompanied by Asst. Prof. Sameer Kapadi and Asst. Firstly, students were exposed to the ancient Mahadev temple at Chandor Kott where the site contains the relics of a stone-carved Nandi – Shiva’s bull. Later, the students visited the chapel of Saint Tiago, particularly the legend stone in front of the chapel which was a 500 metres walk from the Nandi bull statue. Finally, the students stopped by the famous Fernandes house, located on the same street as the Saint Tiago Chapel where the owner of the house, Mr. Rajeev Fernandes, showed the students around the glorious place that is well known for its magnificent architecture and historic significance. Overall, it was a memorable experience for all.
