The Post Graduate Department of Commerce organized the third edition of the State-level Inter-Collegiate event Comquest 3.0, on 11th March 2020 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm in the College Campus. In her welcome address, Principal Dr. Prita D. Mallya congratulated the Post-Graduate Dept. of Commerce for organizing the event and stated that the 3rd edition of Comquest included innovative events which were apt for Master’s Degree students.
The event coordinator Ms. Seema Dharani, Asst. Professor in Commerce, briefed participants about the events. The student coordinator Ms. Janice Gomes introduced the Chief Guest Mrs. Sarita Chavan, Celebrity Master Chef. In her keynote address, she motivated and inspired the students to pursue their dreams. The student coordinator Mr. Fardeen Sharief proposed the Vote of Thanks for the Inaugural Function.
The event consisted of 4 on-stage events –namely Critical Testing (Research paper presentation), Act Attackers (One Act Play), Vogue (Fashion Show) and Mr. & Ms. Comquest – and 5 off-stage events – namely Painting Warriors (Face Painting), Abbreviated Version (Synopsis Writing), Mind Games (Quiz), Battle of Words (Debate), Clash of Quest (Surprise event wherein each team was given a clue and a task to perform after which the 4 qualifying teams were given a product to advertise).
The Valedictory function began with a summary of the day’s proceedings by Ms. Sheryl Da Silva Asst. Professor in Commerce. The participants shared their feedback about the event, which was positive and motivating. Lastly the Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Vice-Principal and M.Com Programme Coordinator Dr. Rodney D’Silva.
