The BBA(Financial Services) Department and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the College, in association with Mahila Mandal, Margao, jointly organized a Community Outreach Programme for Promoting Finan
cial Literacy for Women on 15th January 2018 at 4:30 p.m.in Mahila Mandal Hall, Comba.
48 women from Margao attended the programme. Mr. Abhinay Pai, Assistant Professor welcomed the audience and introduced the Resource Person, Ms. Deepali Naik, Sales Tax Officer-Margao, Vasco & Ponda, and Joint Secretary (Protocol) with additional charge Director (Public Grievances). Ms. Ranjita Pai, President of Mahila Mandal-Margao and Ms. Snehal Jadhav, BBA(FS) programme Co-ordinator, were also seated on the dais. The programme began with the lamp lighting ceremony.
Ms.Deepali Naik addressed the gathering on empowering women through financial literacy. She highlighted the need for women to increase their savings and be self-empowered. She also spoke about the various activities of SHG’s (Self Help Groups) as an initiative towards empowering women.
