

The objective of the course was to provide in-depth knowledge of key accounting concepts, inventory management, and GST-related processes. It focused on advanced techniques in accounting and inventory management, including GST returns filing, stock management, and various modes of voucher entry, covering even some of the niche features of Tally. The course also included practical aspects of invoicing and other essential accounting procedures.
To facilitate learning, the college provided lab access, ensuring that students without personal laptops could conveniently practice and apply their skills. Throughout the course, students received hands-on practical exposure to the following topics:
- Introduction to Tally Accounting:Groups, Ledgers, Vouchers, Creating New Voucher Types; Inventory/Stock Management including Groups, Categories, Units of Measure, Godown, Items, and Inventory Vouchers; Different Modes of Voucher Entry; and Invoicing.
- GST in Tally:GSTR-I, GSTR-II transactions, GST Reports, Online Returns Filing, and Transactions Recording up to Finalization.
- Advanced Corporate Level Module:
- Bill-wise Details, Import/Export of Data, Backup & Restore, Bank Reconciliation, Cheque Printing, Budgets, Re-Order Level, Zero Valued Entries, POS Invoice.
- Order Processing, Batch-wise Details, Price Lists, and TDS.
- Additional Features:Shortcut Keys, Security, Printing in Tally, Configuring Tally, and Splitting Data Based on Financial Years.
At the end of the course, students answered an examination consisting of a Practical Exam (75 marks) and a Theory Exam (25 marks). All 71 students successfully completed the course and were awarded certificates.
