The Department of Computer Science (BCA Programme) conducted a practical hands-on workshop in the subject of Computer Networks cum CCNA Workshop (Intro) for Second Year BCA students on 15th and 16th March 2019. The Resource Person was Mr. Santosh Balakrishnan from Vedasys, Goa.
During the session, he explained the basics of networking in practical using Cisco Packet Tracer, Connecting cables, assigning IP Addresses, and packet flow over the network. He also covered the concepts of PAN, HAN, LAN, CAN, WAN, VLAN, WLAN, and their components.
This workshop was attended by 39 students who received participation certificates from Vedasys. There were requests to have similar workshops in other subjects as well.
