The Department of Management in association with OAWA education conducted webinar on the topic “Career in Wealth Management and Investment Banking” for the students of BBA(FS) and BBA on 22nd August 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:15am on the Zoom platform. 67 students attended the Webinar. The webinar aimed to make students aware of the Wealth management and Investment Banking being most popular career choices within the financial sector.
The Resource Person Mr. Sujoy Das, Former Head-Fixed Income at Invesco Asset Management began the session by providing the basic knowledge about how to be a Wealth Manager and Investment Banker in India.
The speaker explained that the field of wealth management is concerned with providing financial services primarily for high-net-worth individuals and Investment bankers must be able to understand the vital industry-specific factors that drive the success or failure of a business.
And in addition he instructed the students the accounting skill required and importance of being creative to devise the best possible means of arranging financing and structuring business deals in the corporate sectors.
The speaker addressed the queries raised by the students with regards to the global opportunities in the financial sector. The details of the Resource Person were shared with the students for future reference. The students found the session enlightening and the knowledge gained could help them to make informed career decisions. A total of 67 participants attended the session. The session ended at 11:15 am with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Vinaya Kirloskar, Assistant professor in Commerce.
