The Career Cell, in collaboration with the OBC/Minority Cell organized a counselling session on the topic: ‘Career Opportunities for Students in the Tourism and Hospitality Sector’. The primary objective of the session was to enhance students’ awareness of the diverse career paths available within the tourism and hospitality industry. The Resource Person was Mr. Parvin Karmali, Director Human Resource, Caravela Beach Resort.
Mr. Karmali’s extensive experience and profound knowledge of the tourism and hospitality industry enriched the session, providing students with valuable perspectives and practical advice on career pathways within the sector. His expertise in human resource management and his deep understanding of the nuances of the hospitality industry offered students invaluable insights into the diverse career opportunities available, as well as the skills and attributes required to excel in this dynamic field.
During the counselling session, students had the opportunity to explore the multitude of career options and prospects within the tourism and hospitality sector. The session aimed to provide insights into the dynamic nature of the industry, its evolving trends, and the wide range of job opportunities it offers. The session was compered by Ms. Gissele Colaco from SY B. Com A students. Ms. Safaa Sayad from SY B. Com B students introduced the Resource Person and Ms. Disha Goni proposed the Vote of Thanks. The session was coordinated by Ms. Pooja Shanbhag, Convenor Career Cell and Ms. Pretty Pereira, Convenor OBC/ Minority Cell.
