The Department of Computer Science conducted a Career Guidance Session for Vocational Stream Students of Std. XII at Damodar Higher Secondary School Gudi-Paroda on 17th December 2019 from 2.30 to 4 pm.
The aim of the session was to make the students of the Vocational stream aware of the various opportunities available after Std. XII and guide them as to how to make a wise choice from among the plethora of options available within and outside Goa. They were also enlightened about various career options after graduation. The programmes being offered by Shree Damodar College were explained to them along with the details of how these are conducted differently by the College. The HSS students were also briefed about the other activities that are conducted on Shree Damodar College campus. The faculty members – Mr. Sumit Kumar and Ms. NamitaNeurenkar – stressed the importance of scoring at least 60% throughout the student’s academic career, as it has implications for eligibility for financial assistance and placement.
45 students from the Computer techniques Vocational stream attended. The students and their teachers were very happy with the session and the information that was shared with them. Queries raised by them were also ably clarified.
