The E-cell in association with the Commerce Club of the Department of Commerce & Management, Alumni Engagement Cell & IIC organised a Business Plan Competition on 21st May 2022 in the Smart Classroom. 60 students from the B.Com BBA(FS), BCA, B.Voc.(ST) and M.Com Programme participated in the competition which consisted of 16 teams. The event promoted participation of teams having a mix of students from multiple disciplines. The idea behind the inception of an event of this stature was to provide a platform to the budding entrepreneurs of the College to present their business ideas along with the corresponding business model.
The event aimed at providing a platform for the discussion of ideas that could be turned into reality by culminating different areas of expertise. The judges for the event were all alumni of the College and eminent personalities from the field of business including Mr. Hassan Shan, CA Vibhor Keni and CA Anup Borkar. They effectively questioned the practicality of the business models presented by the participants and promoted a fruitful discussion on the same. All cash prizes for the event were sponsored by Mr. Mangirish Kunde, an alumnus of the College. Mr. Ainsley Bernard was the Convenor of the Business Plan Competition.
