The Institution’s Innovation Cell (IIC) in collaboration with the Goa State Innovation Council organized a Bootcamp on Innovation, Prototyping & Startups on 22nd August 22, 2023. The objective of the Bootcamp was to foster a culture of innovation, encourage entrepreneurial thinking, and provide valuable insights into the world of startups. The bootcamp commenced at 10:00 AM and continued until 12:00 PM.
The Resource Persons for the Bootcamp were:
- Sushant Surlekar: A mentor and motivational speaker
- Haroon Sayed: A startup promoter
- Shivraj Naik: Mentor prototyping lab, GSIC
Mr. Sushant Surlekar briefed the students on how to convert an idea into an enterprise. Mr. Haroon Sayed a technopreneur, spoke about his enterprise Code Relix LLP and his journey as an entrepreneur. Mr. Shivraj Naik enlightened the students on the role of Goa State Innovation Council(GSIC) in the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Goa. He also made them aware of the schemes and financial support offered by GSIC to entrepreneurs.
The bootcamp comprised engaging presentations, interactive discussions, and real-life case studies that brought the concepts to life. Attendees were encouraged to participate actively and ask questions, leading to insightful conversations on innovation, prototyping, and startups. The activity was coordinated by Dr. Rodney D’Silva, Dr. Maithili Naik and Ms. Rakshavi Dessai. 80 students from all Programmes participated in the same.
