To celebrate International Education Day, a bookmark making competition was organized by the Department of Economics & Banking from 24th January to 5th February 2024. The event aimed to promote creativity, artistic expression, and the significance of education. 25 participants enthusiastically took part in the competition.
The competition witnessed participation from students across different programmes. Each participant showcased their unique creativity and perspective through their bookmark designs.
The judges for the competition were Ms. Kalpana Parab, Assistant Professor in Commerce and Ms. Eshani Bakhale, Counsellor.
Participants were asked to get their bookmarks created from home. They were given a time period of 10 days to complete their designs, during which they unleashed their creativity to craft visually appealing and meaningful bookmarks.
After a thorough evaluation of all entries, the judges announced the winners:
First Prize: Mrunali Chari (SY B.Com ‘A’).
Second Prize: Gudiya Bhati (FY B.Com ‘E’)
Third Prize: Lavanya Mhapsekar (SY B.Com ‘C’)
The faculties in charge for the competition were Assistant Professors, Ms. Lizette D’Costa and Ms. Saruka Kalgutkar.
