The Red Ribbon Club and NSS Unit of the College, in collaboration with NCC (Army Wing), JCI Fatorda Town & Rotary Club of Margao Midtown, organized a Blood Donation Camp on 30th August 2023.
The aim of this camp was to encourage voluntary blood donation and increase awareness about the importance of donating blood. This camp provided students with an opportunity to make a significant contribution to society.
The camp began with the registration of donors and medical examination of donors by qualified medical professionals to assess their health status and suitability for blood donation. Once cleared by the medical team, donors proceeded to the blood collection area, where skilled phlebotomists collected a unit of blood from each donor. A total of 34 donors including teachers and students donated blood on the occasion.
The NSS volunteers also actively participated in the activity and provided assistance to the donors throughout the event. The activity was coordinated by Lt. Sandesh Gaonkar NCC Army Wing, Mr. Sanjay Velip, NSS PO-Incharge, Ms. Ashwina Volvoikar, NSS PO, and Ms. Akshada Gaonkar, NSS PO.
