The Red Ribbon Club and NSS Unit of the College, in collaboration with JCI Fatorda Town & Rotary Club of Margao Midtown, organized a Blood Donation Camp from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm on 03rd April 2023. The event aimed to motivate students to donate blood and contribute to society by increasing awareness about the importance of blood donation and encouraging regular blood donation.
A total of 61 donors, including teachers and students, participated in the camp after undergoing thorough medical check-ups to ensure their suitability for donation. The camp was organized in a safe and hygienic environment with necessary precautions in place for donor safety.
A team of 18 NSS volunteers actively provided assistance to the organizers and donors throughout the event. They helped with donor registration, assisted with the medical check-up process, and provided refreshments to the donors after the donation process was complete.
The event was efficiently coordinated by NSS PO-in-charge Mr. Gajanan B. Haldankar, NSS PO Mr. Sanjay Velip, and NSS PO Ms. Namrata Ugvekar, who worked hard to promote the event among the students & teachers, encouraging their participation in the blood donation camp.
