The Department of Computer Science conducted a State-level IT event BITBUZZ 1.0 for Higher Secondary Schools, on 13th December 2019. The event witnessed overwhelming participation by 163 students from different streams of nine Higher Secondary Schools across Goa. BITBUZZ 1.0 was an amalgamation of technical and cultural events viz. IceBreaker, MouseKiller, BlindTyping, TechWalk, MinItToWinIt, GroupFie, StreetPlay and PowerPoint.
The Inaugural Ceremony was graced by Mrs. Ekta Agarwal, Director of Anemos Energies Pvt. Ltd. Participants from the different institutions showcased excellent skills and creativity in all the events. The events concluded by 3:00 pm, followed by the Valedictory and prize distribution ceremony.
The Chief Guest for the Valedictory function was Ms. Siddhi Bale, Senior Developer at Commscope Solution Pvt. Ltd and an alumnus of the College. Dr. Prita Mallya, Principal thanked the participants for their enthusiastic participation and appreciated the Department for a well-coordinated event. In her address, Ms. Siddhi Bale encouraged every student to set a technical goal and pursue these goals through hard work and dedication. She said that the formula to succeed in the IT world lies in having an inquisitive approach towards technologies and continually engaging in research.
Carmel Higher Secondary School was declared the overall Winner of BITBUZZ 1.0 and Loyola Higher Secondary School won the Runners-Up trophy.
