‘Bhartiya Bhasha Diwas’

The Cultural Council in collaboration with EBSB Club organized a spectacular “Bharatiya Bhasha Diwas” on 9th December 2023. This event aimed at celebrating the linguistic kaleidoscope of India, engaging both students and staff in activities that highlighted the nation’s rich cultural heritage. A distinctive feature of Bharatiya Bhasha Diwas was the spirited participation of the College staff in a State representation competition. Staff members formed groups, each encapsulating the essence of a different state. The competition, judged by  Principal Dr. Prita D. Mallya, added an element of friendly competition and camaraderie among the staff, showcasing their creativity and passion for representing India’s diverse cultural landscape.

For the student body, the event featured three enthralling competitions. The Rasoi Utsav competition became a melting pot of flavours as students crafted dishes representative of various States. The folk-dance segment transformed the stage into a lively canvas of traditional dances from different regions, while the fashion show unfolded as a vibrant tapestry of diverse attires, offering a visual feast that resonated with the cultural richness of India. To ensure impartiality and expertise in the evaluation process, external judges were invited to scrutinize the competitions. Their professional insight added a layer of credibility to the results, enhancing the overall quality of the event. This external perspective not only reinforced fairness but also provided valuable feedback to participants, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
