On the occasion of World Sight Day, the NSS Unit in collaboration with Lions Club of Canacona, Leo Club of Canacona and Saksham NGO organized an awareness program on Eye Donation, for the NSS Volunteers on 8th October 2021 in the College campus at 11:00am. Mr. Pradeep Sharma from Saksham NGO addressed the volunteers and explained how eye donation can help millions of blind people to get their vision restored. He also spoke about the myths associated with eye donation. Ms. Patricia Torres, President of Lions Club of Canacona, Mr. Adrian Torres, Founder President of JCI Salcete Coastal and Mr. Ainsley Bernard, NSS Program Officer of the College also addressed the volunteers and shared their thoughts regarding eye donation. The awareness program concluded with the NSS volunteers taking the eye donation pledge. Mr. Ainsley Bernard, NSS Program Officer was the teacher in charge of the activity. 60 NSS Volunteers participated in the program.
