To commemorate “Data Privacy Day”, students from TYBCA Div A and B delivered a 10-minute talk on “Awareness of Phishing Attacks” for all students of the College in their respective classrooms/labs on 29th January 2024. The activity was a part of their E-commerce Assignment and was conducted by the Department of Computer Science under the TechTrendz Club and Inter-Department Activities.
The talk basically focused on the Phishing, summarizing the various forms of Phishing attacks, the possible precautionary measures that can be taken and the relevant laws in India associated with Phishing attacks.
The objective of the talk was to equip students with the knowledge about phishing attacks, to handle any real-life Phishing attacks and the legal implications. Through this activity, the Computer Science Department contributed to the development of a more secure and responsible digital community.
The activity was initiated and organized by Ms. Rama Borkar and Ms. Sneha Prabhudessai, faculties from the Department of Computer Science. The overall in-charges were Ms. Annette Santimano (TechTrendz Club) and Ms. Rakshavi Dessai (Incharge Inter-Department Activities).
