Dempe College of Arts and Science organised a workshop on “Flipped Learning” on 15th and 17th October 2018. Five Faculty members from VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics: Mr. Sunil Naik, Dr. Sheetal Arondekar, Mr. Vishal Chari, Ms. Prachi Kolamker and Ms. Swati Bhat attended the workshop.
In a traditional class, 90% of the time is spent in delivery of content and only 10% on application. Flipped Learning is where the first exposure to content happens outside the class. It is completely opposite to traditional class. The workshop began with an icebreaker session which included discussion about the Merits and demerits of Flipped classroom.
During the workshop, we were exposed to different E-Resources such as Padlet, Google classroom, Edpuzzle and Poll Everywhere which can be used to incorporate flipped learning in classrooms. Flipped learning was demonstrated in the workshop and assignments were given which the participants had to submit using E-Resources.
