Alma Mater Series – Session on “Insurance: A Key to Building Financial Resilience and Security”

The Department of Management Studies, in collaboration with the Alumni Engagement Cell of the college, organized the first session under the Alma Mater Series on the topic “Insurance: A Key to Building Financial Resilience and Security” on 7th January 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon in Room No. 403, 4th Floor of the college campus.

The resource person for the session was Ms. Sneha Lawande, Agency Development Manager at Max Life Insurance Company Limited and an alumna of the BBA (Financial Services) Programme. With over seven years of experience in the finance and insurance industry, Ms. Lawande provided valuable insights into financial planning and security.

She began the session by sharing her personal journey and professional experiences, emphasizing that financial independence is not just about earning but also about managing finances wisely to ensure long-term stability.

The discussion then transitioned into the realm of life and health insurance, where Ms. Lawande elaborated on the various types of insurance policies and their benefits, and how insurance contributes to financial security for individuals and families. She addressed the common misconceptions about insurance and highlighted upon the importance of structured insurance planning to safeguard against unforeseen circumstances

The session was highly informative and engaging, allowing the 37 participants to gain a deeper understanding of how insurance plays a crucial role in building financial resilience. Overall, the session successfully bridged the gap between academic learning and industry practices, helping students gain practical knowledge from an industry expert.
