To ring in the festive spirit of Diwali, the Fine Arts Club, Cultural Council of the College organized Akash Kandil Making Competition on 20th October 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the College Multipurpose Hall. The competition was open to all students of the College. The Akash kandils were to be made from eco-friendly material. A total of eighteen teams (36 students) consisting of two students per team participated in the competition. The competition provided a platform for students to display their creative skills and talent. The Akash kandils were judged on the basis of creativity, uniqueness of ideas, and overall presentation.
The first place was bagged by Ms. Belita Ashlyn Pereira and Ms. Livina Da Profiza Vas of TY B. Com (A), the second place went to Ms. Pooja Naik and Ms. Tasmiya Mukashi of FY B.Com (C), while the third place was bagged by Mr. Ashley Souza and Ms. Seedal Fernandes of SY B.Com (B) and (D) respectively.
The judges for the competition were Asst. Prof. Ms. Rajlaxmi Nair and Ms. Divyanka Kanekar.
The Fine Arts Club faculty in charge, Ms. Lizette D’Costa, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics & Banking, coordinated the competition.
