A talk was organized by Computer Science department (BCA) for the students of FY & SY on the topic “Using Social Media Effectively” on 10th March 2015. The resource person was Mr. Jonathan Pereira, Manager, Google Develop Group, Goa, which is a part of the official Google communities spread across 109 countries globally.
He highlighted on how the various social networking sites should be used by the students. He emphasized that in today’s world, even the employers search for the profiles of the applicants on the internet and therefore netiquets are important for each of us. The talk was very informative on how to safeguard us from the crimes committed on social media. In all very informative and interesting talk. The programme coordinator, Mr. Sunil Naik introduced the guest to the audience.
The session which went on for over 2 hours ended with vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Namita Neurenkar, Asst. Prof, BCA dept. All the staff members of BCA attended the talk with the students.
