The Career and Placement Cell organised its Soft Skills Training to prepare the students for the Annual Placement Fair on February 20th. The training was held from 1.00 to 3.00 pm from June 2019 to February 2020. The Resource Persons for the training were Ms. Caroline D’Silva – Trainer, Impact Training Solutions, Ms. Nandini Kunde – Corporate Trainer and Ms. Priyanka Row – Priyanka Row Image Consultants. A total of 148 students enrolled for the training. All students registered under the Placement Cell across TY B.Com, BBA(FS) and M.Com were divided into 4 batches. The training had two Parts.
Part I: 15 hours of Soft Skills Training conducted by Ms. Caroline D’Silva and Ms. Nandini Kamat Kunde for each batch. The Modules covered under this training were:
- The Art of Communication (including Body Language & Listening Skills)
- Building Strong Personalities through Self Confidence and Self Esteem
- Interpersonal Skills & Conflict Management
- Business Etiquette & Professionalism
- Time Management Skills
- Attitude affects Altitude
- Interview Skills & Resume Writing
Part II: 10 hours of Campus to Corporate Training conducted by Ms. Priyanka Row. The modules covered were:
- Dress for Success
- Art of Networking
- High Performance Communication
- Mock Interviews
The Campus to Corporate programme ended with Mock Interviews to prepare students for the Placement Fair. The mock interviews were conducted by Mr. K. D. Row, Former Chairman, Goa Public Service Commission.
