The BBA(Financial Services) Department organized “Young Leaders Program”, a community outreach activity from 06thto 13thJanuary, 2020. This is an initiative towards educating youngsters by imparting awareness on financial literacy. The program is designed for students from Government Schools and Higher Secondary Schools of Goa.
A total of twelve schools; Swami Vivekananda School – Borim Ponda, Government High School – Junabazar Ponda, Government High School – Sadar Ponda, Government High School – Zuarinagar, Government High School – Malkarnem, Government High School – Sanguem, Balbharti Vidyamandir – Ribandar, G. S. Amonkar Vidya Mandir – Mapusa, Vidyaprabodhini Higher Secondary School – Provorim, Government High School – Vidhyanagar Aquem, Government High School – Usgao and Government High School – Honda were covered under this outreach activity.
35 students (08 boys and 27girls) of First Year, Second Year and Third Year BBA(Financial Services) participated in the program. The students used PowerPoint presentations and interactive instruction methods like role plays, quizzes and games to explain topics such as skill development and fundamentals of savings and investments.
The students of all the schools participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the program. At the same time, it was a great learning experience for the BBA(FS) students.
