The Inter-Collegiate Basketball Championship (Women) of Goa University was held at Goa University basketball court from 9 to 13 January 2020. More than 15 college teams took part in this tournament.
Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics emerged victorious.
After winning all the preliminary matches against different colleges, Shree Damodar College reached the semifinals. In the semifinal match, Shree Damodar College played against Goa University Taleigao and defeated the University team 32-14. The final match was held on 13 January 2020 against St. Xaviers College, which our girls won 28-18 to become Champions.
Mr. Ajinkya Kudtarkar was the Manager of the team, while Mr. Mano Shelke assisted.
Principal Dr. Prita D. Mallya and Mr. Vikram Verlekar, Chairman of Vidya Vikas Mandal Sports Council, congratulated the Manager, Ms. Rachel Raposa (Team Captain) and all the team players for their achievement in this tournament and wish them success in the tournaments to come.
