The Research Cell continued its series of Ph.D. Research Scholars Work Presentation on 7th Dec, 2019, with a presentation by Ms. Reshma Prabhu Verlekar, Assistant Professor, Sridora Caculo College of Commerce and Management Studies, Mapusa. Ms. Reshma Prabhu Verlekar is registered in the Research Centre in Commerce of the College, under the supervision of PhD guide Dr. Manoj Kamat. Mr. Sandesh Gaonkar, Assistant Professor of Commerce and Management introduced the Research Scholar
Ms. Prabhu Verlekar made a presentation on her Ph.D. topic “Credit Risk Management Practices: A Study of Public and Private Banks in India”.
The presentation covered the Research Problem, Research Question, Objectives, Research Methodology of each objective, Results and Discussion on each objective, Conclusion and the Implications of the study. Discussions centered around justification for using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method for calculation of model accuracy rate, clarifications on recalibrations of models and scope for future study.
22 faculty members attended the session and participated actively in the discussion.
The session ended around 1.20 pm with the vote of thanks by Mr. Sandesh Gaonkar.
