A guest lecture on “IPO Investment – is it good to invest in IPOs” was held on 22nd August 2019. The guest lecture was organized for the students of SYBBA(FS) as part of the Indian Securities Market course. The objective of the lecture was to make students aware about IPO investment in India. The session began at 11:30 am. The resource person was Mr. Ganesh Kothatha, Founder, Wealth Doctors, having experience of over 13 years in the financial services sector.
The session began with an introduction to IPOs and how important it is to invest in IPOs. Mr. Kothathaalso shed light on other investment avenues such as Real Estate, Gold, Equity etc. and how effectively they can invest in such avenues. He provided many real-life examples and shared his knowledge in terms of his investments in IPOs. 40 students attended and actively participated in the session. The session concluded at 12:30p.m. The resource person appreciated the faculty members – Mrs. Ashwini Devari and Ms. Trisha Vadil – and participants for the successful conduct of the event..
