A guest lecture was organized on 22nd August 2019 from 12.15 pm to 1.15 pm. for SY B.Com students in the subject of Fundamentals of Cost Accounting. The resource person for the session was Mr. Shailendra Veluskar, partner at Kris Manufacturing Co. Assistant professor Ms. Muktali Cuncoliencar introduced the resource person.
The guest faculty commenced the session by asking the students their career goals. He gave a brief description about his business. He shared his journey of starting his own manufacturing unit i.e. Kris manufacturing unit and also explained how he manufactures the product. He guided the students on how to manage cost of production and yet provide good quality products to customers. He briefed students about the various components of cost, explained how he faced competition in the market and how he captured the market share.
It was an interactive session and the resource person distributed prizes to students for answering his questions. Faculty members Dr. Edwin Barreto, Ms. Anjali Sajilal, Ms. Muktali Cuncoliencar and Mr. Gajanan Haldankar were present for the talk. The session was attended by 81 students. Ms. Danali Mascarenhas, student of SY B.Com proposed the vote of thanks.
